Cable Providers about to get more mobile

Wi-Fi Connectivity has yet again proven to be the solution and framework for future mobile connectivity. Five of the United States major cable providers including "Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Bright House and Cox have announced a partnership (Article Here) that will allow customers to use any of the free Wi-Fi Hotspot from the above cable providers when travelling outside their home network area. The Partnership also means that customers have the option to choose between the emergence of 4G networks or Wi-Fi, and time will tell which solution will prove to be more suitable for mobile connectivity.

One of the highlights of this partnership includes the new Wi-Fi Alliances's Standard "Passpoint"allows carrier to automatically switch customers to their Wi-Fi Hotspots in crowded areas without the need to re-authenticate identity and user information. The smooth and seamless transition will make Wi-Fi connectivity more appealing to end-users everywhere.
