4ipnet Introduces a Simple and Reliable PoE Access Switch to Make Wi-Fi Deployments More Flexible
Part of the enterprise-grade
WLAN solutions by 4ipnet, the SW1008 facilitates Wi-Fi deployments while
offering reliable operation.
TAIPEI, TAIWAN –
leading provider of feature-rich and affordable wireless LAN solutions for
meeting the Wi-Fi demands of tomorrow, today announced the SW1008, a compact
8-port gigabit switch that offers reliable plug-and-play operation in network deployments.
The SW1008 is the first model in 4ipnet’s SW-series product line, a family of
PoE (Power over Ethernet) access switches that can be integrated with 4ipnet’s
offering of manageable wireless infrastructure.
The primary benefit
of the SW1008 is ease of deployment, as it provides zero-touch configuration during
set up. In addition, the device can automatically sense whether or not a
connected device supports PoE, and if not, transmits only data through the
associated port. Finally, owing to the fan-less design, the SW1008 can be
placed in the environments where noise levels should be kept low, providing increased
flexibility in deployment options.
The ease of
deployment and the compact size of the SW1008 are not reflective of its robust
internal capabilities. The SW1008 supports up to 150 watts of total power
budget for powered devices, and each of its eight 802.3at compliant gigabit
Ethernet ports can supply up to 30 watts of power. On the performance end, the
SW1008 offers 1.488 Mpps forwarding rate, which allows it to provide reliable
gigabit switching capacity to all of its connected devices.
As part of the
managed Wi-Fi solutions offered by 4ipnet, the SW1008 provides seamless
integration with the WHG controllers and EAP/OWL access points, enabling a consistent
user experience. The benefit is significant for organizations that wish to
unify wired and wireless networks, as they can now easily integrate 4ipnet
Wi-Fi devices with existing wired infrastructure. With the introduction of the
SW1008, 4ipnet continues to provide feature-rich yet affordable Wi-Fi solutions
to organizations of all types and scales.

Managing SDS200W on the Web Management Interface SDS200W is designed specifically to operate in conjunction with all 4ipnet Gateways/Controllers, including both HSG and WHG series. If you are not using default settings, before connecting SDS200W to your 4ipnet Gateway/Controller, some configurations steps are required.
Go to the Web Management Interface (WMI) for SDS200W’s relevant configurations. The default values are:
IP address: 192.168.1.10
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.254
Remember to set the TCP/IP settings of the computer you use with a static IP address that is under the same subnet
as SDS200W. For example: 192.168.1.20.
The settings of SDS200W are separated into seven categories, which are
1. System – to setup the system name and device control.
2. Uplink – to determine wired / wireless relevant parameters. Any change on this page will take
effect after rebooting the system.
3. Console – to change console related settings for POS printers.
4. Utility …
4ipnet supports free Wi-Fi access using “Social Login” including popular social medias like “Facebook”, “Twitter” and “Google+”. Select your preferred social networking service and use the username and password for that service to sign on to the web site. This option negates the end user the requirement to remember his or her login information for other websites while providing site owners with uniform demographic information provided by the chosen social networking service.
After a successful “Like” (Facebook), “Tweet” (Twitter), and “+1” (Google+), the user may now click on the login button and access the internet completely free of charge!
The use of Social Media Login allows the individual/group/business or venue to gain social media exposure and generate market awareness and revenue.
Advantages of Social Login: Direct Content: With social login, websites have the option to accept profile and social graph data in order to customize and target personalized content to the user. This …
